Cofounder & Farmer
Raimee Sorensen, cofounder of Blawesome, is a young farmer and musician. Raimee brings the spirit of Blawesome to life through his years of experience volunteering on community farms in and around Orange County, NC. He has a joyful energy and is committed to being an agent of positive change in the world. When he is not in the garden, Raimee enjoys watching Hayao Miyazaki films, writing stories, and hanging out with the crew at Reality Ministries. His favorite flowers are zinnias.
Cofounder & Designer
Rebecca Sorensen, MSW is the cofounder of Blawesome and parent to Raimee, Mason, and Dupree. Rebecca has worked in sustainable horticulture for over a decade, and as a Community Development Consultant for 20 years, organizing and implementing unique community initiatives to serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her work focuses on using natural interactions and processes to promote a meaningful and intentional human experience. Her favorite flowers are daisies.
Operations Coordinator
Camille Le is our Operations Coordinator and enjoys connecting with all the people who support Blawesome through subscriptions, weddings, events and more! She has worked and served in various capacities in the I/DD community – including farming, home life and supported employment. She and her family currently live in the Corner House, a community of folks with and without disabilities who share life together. She loves Blawesome’s mission to integrate beauty, care for the earth and love of people. Her favorite flower is gomphrena.
Social Care Farmer
Sayde Anderson works as both Farm Manager and Social Care Farmer at Blawesome, guiding daily operations while supporting its broader social care mission. For over eight years, she has worked at the intersection of farming, art, sustainability, and service to adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her evolving work as a farmer and artist creates spaces that invite reflection on who we are as nurturers of the land and our communities. She loves riding bikes, hiking, working with natural dyes, and learning new recipes. Her spirit flower is delphinium.
Farmer/Designer
Amber Cassle has been farming with the team since 2022. With a background in sustainable agriculture and floral design, she brings the assets needed to be a flexible part of the crew and has an ability to tackle any task. Amber has an adult son on the autism spectrum. In her free time, she enjoys doing the New York Times crossword puzzle, jigsaw puzzles, reading, cooking, and generally just being outdoors. Her favorite flower is ranunculus.
