Farmer For a Day Program
Farmer For a Day Program
Join us at Blawesome for our four-week Farmer for a Day Program!
Each Thursday, we will gather to nurture, plant, harvest, sweat, grow, connect, foster inclusivity, and make meaning together. Throughout the month of October, we will practice using our five senses to experience the land and learn to grow as farmers.
During our time together each week, we will learn a new sustainable farming practice such as seeding, planting, and harvesting flowers, while learning about the importance of biodiversity. We will share a meal and learn how to grow beautiful plants together. You will bring your own lunch and the Blawesome crew will provide snacks and cold drinks. Each week, you will go home with a bouquet of beautiful blooms.
The space and time together promotes not only skill development and teamwork but also provide a platform for social interaction in a supportive environment. With guided instruction and an adaptive setting, every individual is empowered to contribute and blawesome in their own unique way. All abilities are welcome.*
